It’s certainly beginning to look like the APT Macau is going to be quite an event. In addition to confirmation that poker legend Johnny Chan will be in attendance, it has also been announced that the event will also play host to a film crew who is shooting a movie about poker.

The film, tentatively titled “Poker King” is being directed by Chan Hing-Kai and Janet Chun. Louis Koo, Sean Lau Ching-Wan, Stephy Tang, Cherrie In and Josie Ho are set to star in the film which tells the story of two poker rivals competing for fame and fortune.

Tom Hall, the CEO of Asian Logic said, “This is a very exciting project and is sure to provoke even more excitement about The Asian Poker Macau Festival”, Hall said. “Players across the region and from around the world are encouraged to come to the StarWorld and play at the Asian Poker Tour Macau when it begins on August 12th.”
