Macau Poker Cup Championship

The Macau Poker Cup Championship will take place at the Grand Lisboa Casino in Macau Dec 12 – Dec 20th. There will be eight featured tournaments culminating with the HKD$20,000 Main Event.

One of the most awaited competitions of the year is the PokerStars Passport promotion. Players compete from Dec 1 – Dec 31st 2009 for points on the PokerStars Tournament Leaderboard. The top 2000 finishers will have a chance at winning a PokerStars Passport and cash, while the top 200 will battle it out for the biggest prize of all, a 5-stamp PokerStars Passport!

What is a PokerStars Passport? Well, you can play in ANY PokerStars sponsored live event. Yes, that means you can play at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the European Poker Tour, the Asian Pacific Poker Tour, or the Latin American Poker Tour. You pick!!

APPT Seoul Postponed

Johnny Chan Confirmed For The APT

Bluff Europe is reporting that Johnny Chan has confirmed that he will be attending the APT in Macau in August. The ten time WSOP bracelet winner will provide a boost to the event which is trying to help poker catch on in the Asian market.

Poker Stars has announced the APPT Sydney which will be held at the Star City Casino from Dec 1 – 6th. Buy-in will be $4920 and will be capped at 750 players.

Poker Stars has announced the dates for the APPT Philippines to be held at the Shangri-la Mactan Resort in Cebu. The buy-in will be $2150 USD and the number of players will be capped at 300 so it should make for an interesting tournament.
