The Euro Finals of Poker which will be held at the Aviation Club de France in Paris has announced their schedule.

If you would like to catch the action that was the 2009 WSOPE that air dates have recently been announced. The program will air on ESPN and will start off with Caesars Cup which was a special event that pitted top pros from America against some of Europe’s finest players.

Paradise Poker Tour Prague Dates Announced

Paradise Poker has announced the dates for their Prague segment of the Paradise Poker Tour. The event will be held Feb 27 and Feb 28 at the Card Casino Prague. Padrig Parkinson is a name well known in the European poker circles and he didn’t disappoint when he won PokerStars’ UKIPT event. Parkinson too home €125,000 for his troubles.

James Akenhead wins Poker Million

When you’re running hot, you’re running hot. James Akenhead has had one heck of a year in 2009. After reaching the final table of the main event in not just the WSOP but at the WSOPE as well, Akenhead pounced on a win at the Full Tilt Poker Million which netted him a nice $500,000 prize.

Jan Skampa Wins EPT Prague

Czech Republic local came away victorious at the PokerStars EPT Prague. Skampa walks away €682,000 richer for his efforts after besting 584 other players. Skampa also placed fourth in the EPT Vilamoura several two weeks ago so maybe having home court advantage played some sort of roll to help push him over the top. This is Skampa’s fourth try at the EPT.

Not a bad win for a 23 year old economics major at St Charles University in Prague. Something tells me he’s moved up a notch or two as most popular guy on campus after his impressive showings at EPT events.

Though the PokerStars sponsored Russian Poker Tour got off to a rough start with a move from Moscow to Kiev due to a Russian crackdown on gambling, Vadim Kursevich got full honors (and $63,123 in cash).

The Paradise Poker Tour will be making it’s debut in London at the Empire Casino the 12th and 13th of December (one can only assume to capitalize on the players PokerStars is already sending to London for their UK/Ireland Poker Tour). The buy-in for the Paradise Poker event will be £500+£50 with the prize pool guaranteed at £100,000.

Qualifiers on Paradise are already running with the lowest buy-n being €1.10. Finals will be held each day with at least €1,100 prize package up for grabs. Finals will alternate between being a €33 re-buy or €55 freezeout each day. Each package includes the £500+£50 buy in plus €450 for accommodation, travel and spending money.
