PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam

Matchroom Sport and PKR.com have teamed up to bring players the PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam to be held from October 8 – October 10 at 3 Mills Studio in London. The event will see 32 players square off in a competition for a $350,000 prize pool. The winner will walk away with a cool $100K for their effort.

It has been announced that the tournament will use a deep stack format which means players are given a lot of chips which will allow the players to play a more controlled game without where really skilled players have the advantage.

Top poker professionals Tom “Durrrr” Dwan, Luke “Full Flush” Schwartz, Annette Obrestad, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Vicky Coren, Nam Le, Sammy “Any Two” George, Roland de Wolfe, JC Tran, Andrew Feldman and Roberto Romanello have all been confirmed with more names to be announced in the coming days.

Additionally, six spots are being left open for players who qualify on PKR’s site.

Poker in the Park

Bluff Europe and PKR present two full days of poker. Expecting to draw as many as 25,000 people the two day event will feature free poker tournaments, pokers lectures, and books and other materials for sale. Billed as Europe’s biggest poker festival this will be the third year Bluff Europe has run the event with attendance growing every year.

Michael Caselli, Editor-in-Chief of Bluff Europe, said “Last year was the start of something special, with Poker in the Park demonstrating that London is one of the premiere cities in the world for poker. This year’s event will show why poker has become the global phenomenon it is today, and we’re looking forward to two days of poker madness.”
